The TnG Soundbox is specially designed to be used with Touch ‘n Go (TnG) DuitNow QR only. The Soundbox will announce and display the amount received when a payment is made.
Customers can still make payments using:
• Banking apps (Maybank, CIMB, RHB, etc.)
• Other eWallet apps (Boost, GrabPay, MAE, etc.)
You must first register as a TnG Merchant. During the registration process, you will be required to enter your bank account number, and the payments received will be transferred to your bank account.
During the TnG merchant registration process, you will be required to enter your bank account.
Currently, there are 2 settlement methods:
1. Settlement directly to the TNG Business account
• The money will be credited directly to your TNG Business account once the transaction is completed. You can manually transfer the money to your bank account.
2. Settlement to bank account on the next day
• The money will be credited to your bank account on the next day.
The Soundbox needs to be connected to the internet and it comes with two internet connection options:
1. Wi-Fi Connection
Suitable for shops, homes, offices, or places with a stable Wi-Fi connection.
2. SIM Card Connection (4G)
Suitable for mobile businesses or locations without Wi-Fi, such as morning/night markets, roadside stalls, events, or outdoor gatherings.
You can start with a Wi-Fi connection and switch to a SIM card anytime if needed — or vice versa.
The MAE Soundbox only works with the Maybank QRPayBiz application. Starting 1 July 2025, QRPayBiz registration is only open to merchants who have a Maybank account. Please register for QRPayBiz before purchasing.
The MAE Soundbox accepts payments from:
• All major banks (Maybank, CIMB, RHB, Public Bank, Hong Leong Bank, etc.)
• Popular e-wallets such as Touch ‘n Go eWallet, Boost, and others.
Once the payment is received, the Soundbox will automatically announce and display the amount received.
The Soundbox supports three (3) main language options: Malay, English, and Chinese. You can select the language during the Soundbox activation process.
You can also change the language yourself by pressing and holding the “-” volume button.
